For the second time in program history, the Concordia women's track program doubled down on MIAC championships, with the previous double dip coming in 1999. The Cobbers claimed the conference outdoor women's crown this past weekend, backing up an MIAC indoor title in late February.

Concordia is poised for another banner finish at the MIAC Outdoor Meet as they scored 84 team points on Friday and hold a 47-point lead in the team standings heading into the final day of competition.

In an inconceivable turn of events on Day 1 at the MIAC Heptathlon Championship, Cobber first-year teammates Lauren Pearson and Kaili Malvey are tied for the lead after four events.

Record-Setting Relays Highlight Many Miles Weekend

Concordia traveled to Iowa and Jamestown for their annual 3-meet, many miles weekend. The Cobbers had their distance medley relay and sprint hurdle relay teams break 20-year-old school records at the Drake Relays in Iowa.

The Cobbers went across the Red River and competed at the annual NDSU Spring Classic and turned in several Top 5 finishes at a meet that featured NCAA Division I and II squads.

Concordia reaped the rewards for winning its first MIAC Indoor Championship since 1999 by earning two of the four major postseason awards. Head Coach Marv Roeske was named the MIAC Indoor Coach of the Year and first-year multi-sport athlete Lauren Pearson (Cameron, Wis.) earned Rookie of the Year honors.

A True Team MIAC Championship!

Concordia ended its 27-year championship drought by using the strength of its team to capture its fourth MIAC Indoor Championship Meet title in program history. The Cobbers only had three event wins over the two days but used a boat load of podium finishes to tie for the most indoor championships of any school currently in the conference.

Emily Rengo broke the school record in the 55 meters at the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet. Her time of 7.30 broke the old school mark set in 2004.

The Concordia‑Moorhead women’s multi‑event squad delivered one of its strongest collective showings in recent history at the MIAC Indoor Championships, powered by a sensational championship run from Lauren Pearson, who not only won the pentathlon but also broke the school record in the 55m hurdles to launch her dominant day.
