Brown, Rengo, Warner & Nygaard Break School Record At UND
The quartet of Josie Brown, Emily Rengo, Emma Warner and Kyla Nygaard broke the school record in the 4x400-meter relay to lead Concordia at the UND Tune-Up.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (2/20/2026)---Josie Brown, Emily Rengo, Emma Warner and Kyla Nygaard – welcome to the Cobber record book.
The quartet of track athletes broke the school record in the 4x400-meter relay and led Concordia at the UND Tune-Up – the final event before the MIAC Championship Meet.
Brown, Rengo, Warner and Nygaard blistered the track to post a time of 3:53.33 which bettered the previous program mark set last year by over 3 seconds. Their program record is No.11 on the DIII national list this year.
To show just how fast their time in the 4x4 was - their finishing time would have broken the outdoor school record.
Rengo turned around and tied her own school mark in the 60-meter dash as she clocked a 7.85 in the finals of the meet and placed fourth in a field of mainly competitors from DI schools NDSU and UND.
Junior teammate Lydia Fynboh also qualified for the finals in the 60 meters. She ran a PR time of 7.95 in the prelims and then finished sixth in the finals. Her time in the prelims jumps her into the No.7 spot in the MIAC this season.
Kelyn Henry-Perlich came through with the only event win for CC in Grand Forks. She crossed the line in the mile in a converted time of 5:15.95 which is the fastest by any Cobber office this year and No.10 in the conference.
The other Top 10 mark in the conference this season was turned in by Londyn Ames. Ames crossed the line in 2:18.46 in the 800 meters and is now No.7 on the MIAC list.
The lone Top 5 finish in the field events came from junior Piper Osborne, who placed fourth in the triple jump. She recorded a distance of 34-11.75 which is just shy of her season best that sits in the N.6 spot in the MIAC.
Sophomore Chloe Mueffelmann posted her career-best mark in the shot put which jumped her into the No.2 spot in the MIAC this year. She produced a throw of 42-00.50 on her very first attempt of the competition and placed ninth. Her finishing distance moves her into the No.9 spot on the program's all-time list.
The Cobbers next stop will be the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet on Feb. 26-28 at Carleton.
