Cobbers Finish Off Home Season Against League-Leading Bethel

Concordia finished off the home portion of its schedule by dropping a pair of games to league-leading Bethel. The first inning in both games proved to be costly for the Cobbers. CC gave up six runs in Game 1, rallied to get to within one but lost 8-6. The Royals followed the 6-run first in the opener with a 3-run first in Game 2 and went on to win 10-3.

So Close To A Sweep On Day 2 In Florida

Concordia was two outs away from sweeping its first doubleheader of the season in Florida. The Cobbers led Marian (Wis.) 5-3 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning in Game 1 but then gave up two runs to the Sabres and lost 6-5 in extra innings. CC responded by a 6-3 win the second game to come away with the split.
