Champions Lead Cobbers On MIAC Final Day

A pair of MIAC title winners led Concordia on the final day of the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet. Allyson Kangas and Peyton Selle proved their championship mettle by posting Top 5 finishes, which helped the Cobbers remain in sixth place in the final team standings.

Allyson Kangas won the weight throw on Day 1 at the MIAC Championship Meet. It was her first-ever conference championship.

Senior Allyson Kangas led Concordia at the first day of the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet. Kangas won the weight throw, and was one of three Cobbers to post Top 6 finishes that pushed CC into sixth place in the team standings.

Junior Peyton Selle won scored a career-best total of 3,240 points and won the MIAC pentathlon for the second straight season.

Peyton Selle continued her streak of winning MIAC multi-event titles. She posted a career-best score of 3,240 points and won the conference pentathlon. The victory is her fourth straight MIAC multi-event crown.

The calendar might have showed the first meet of the season, but the Cobbers were in mid-year form at the Cobber Open. Concordia recorded six event wins and multiple runner-up finishes as they showed early-season success.
