Concordia women’s soccer team closed out its 2025 season Saturday on Senior Day, falling 2-0 to Augsburg. The Cobbers honored their seniors before the match and battled hard throughout but were unable to overcome a disciplined Augsburg squad.
The Cobbers battled back in the second half and scored a late goal, but their comeback fell just short in a 2-1 road loss to UW–Eau Claire on Sunday afternoon.
A goal in the 51st minute of play proved to be the difference in the Cobbers’ 1-0 loss at Gustavus. It’s the eighth time in the last nine games between the teams that the contest has been decided by one goal or ended in a tie.
Facing one of the MIAC’s top offensive teams, Concordia-Moorhead showcased grit and determination on Saturday afternoon but came up short in a 5–0 loss to St. Olaf at the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.
A goal in the 58th minute by junior midfielder Kara Ellis earned Concordia a hard-fought 1-1 tie against Macalester.
A goal in the 31st minute of each half sent the Cobbers to a 2-0 defeat in Duluth against St. Scholastica. Concordia conceded the opening goal at 30:02 and then the insurance marker at 75:11.
Concordia scored its first goal of the season but it wasn’t enough as they dropped a 4-1 decision to Bethel at home on Saturday.
The Concordia-Moorhead women’s soccer team battled from start to finish but came up short against Hamline, falling 2-0 in a hard-fought matchup that featured multiple scoring chances and standout efforts from the Cobbers.
Behind another stellar night from senior goalkeeper Julia Roark, Concordia battled Wisconsin-Superior to a 0–0 draw on Tuesday night in Moorhead.
Defense ruled the day on Sunday as Concordia and Nebraska Wesleyan went the full 90 minutes without a goal, settling for a scoreless draw at the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.
Concordia battled hard through gusty winds and kept the pressure on until the very end, but a second-half strike proved costly as the Cobbers dropped a 1-0 decision at Northwestern on Friday.
Concordia-Moorhead battled through a physical and competitive contest on the road against the University of Minnesota-Morris Saturday, earning a hard-fought 0-0 draw.
