Loge Posts Career-High 22 Rebounds as Cobbers Top Oak Hills Christian
Concordia-Moorhead controlled the tempo from the opening tip and never relinquished its advantage, rolling to a 75–53 win over Oak Hills Christian on Tuesday night.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/19/25) — Concordia controlled the tempo from the opening tip, got a 20-20 game from Jackson Loge and never looked back, rolling to a 75–53 win over Oak Hills Christian on Tuesday night.
Loge finished with a career-high 22 rebounds to go with 25 points as he went 12-for-16 from the floor. Loge becomes the first Cobber player to post a 20-20 game since John Fraase put up 31 points an 24 rebounds against St. Mary's on Feb. 18, 2009. Fraase's 20-20 was also the last time a CC player hauled down 20 rebounds in a single game.
The win over Oak Hills moves Concordia's record to 7-2 on the season. The Cobbers are now 7-0 in non-conference games.
The Cobbers set the tone early, scoring on their first two possessions as Loge opened the game with a layup off an assist from Payton Schell, followed by a jumper from Cole Holzer to give Concordia an early 4–0 lead. Concordia quickly extended the margin to 8–2 behind strong defensive pressure and activity on the glass.
Oak Hills Christian briefly cut the deficit to one midway through the first half, but Concordia responded with a balanced scoring run. Peyton Belka knocked down a three-pointer at the 16:13 mark to stretch the lead to 12–7, and Justin Courneya followed with a triple two minutes later. A Schell layup gave the Cobbers a 17–10 advantage.
The Cobbers continued to extend their lead, highlighted by a pair of emphatic dunks from Loge and a fast-break layup from Holzer to make it 25–16. Oak Hills Christian answered with a 13–2 run to briefly take a 29–27 lead, but Belka responded with a three-pointer to put Concordia back in front, 30–29, with 5:52 remaining in the half.
Back-to-back free throws from Belka pushed the Cobbers' lead to 32–29, and another Loge dunk paired with a Belka three extended the margin to eight points with 2:26 left. Concordia closed the half strong behind scoring from Schell, Holzer, and Loge to take a 45–30 lead into halftime.
Oak Hills Christian looked to chip away early in the second half, but Concordia answered quickly. Courneya drained a three-pointer at the 16:50 mark to reestablish a 16-point cushion, and the Cobbers continued to score through multiple options. Nathan Baack, Schell, and Belka each contributed timely baskets as Concordia kept the margin comfortably in double figures.
The Wolfpack made brief pushes behind perimeter shooting, but every run was met with a Cobber response. Following an Oak Hills Christian three that cut the lead to nine, Belka answered with a jump shot to restore a double-digit advantage.
A Schell three-pointer and a Loge layup put Concordia up 58–44 with 12:30 remaining. After a brief scoreless stretch, Loge scored on consecutive layups to push the lead back to 14. Alex Franson added a jumper to make it 64–48, and despite a Wolfpack basket to cut the deficit, Concordia remained in control.
Another Loge layup and a pair of free throws from Holzer extended the Cobbers' lead to 18 points with 3:43 remaining. Oak Hills Christian hit a late three, but Grant Andersen capped the scoring with a layup as Concordia secured the 75–53 victory.
