DECORAH, Iowa (12/14/25)---If senior Peyton Belka has as much success on his upcoming final exams as he did in the Cobbers' game at Luther, then he should be looking at straight "A"s.
Belka banked home a 3-point field goal at the buzzer at the end of regulation to send Concordia's contest with the Norse into overtime and then knocked down a pair of clutch shots from behind the arc in the extra period to lead CC to a 67-62 win against Luther.
The win is the sixth straight non-conference victory for the Cobbers who move to 6-2 overall as they head into finals week. The Norse fall for the fifth time in the last six games and have their season mark reach the .500 level at 5-5.
Belka finished the game with a team-high 17 points, 14 of which came in the second half and overtime. He scored six of the Cobbers' nine points in the OT session after the score was tied at 58-58 at the end of regulation.
Belka also added seven rebounds and was 5-for-9 from 3-point range for the game.
While Belka was handling the outside studying, Jackson Loge took care of the majority of the book work around the basket. Loge came away with a game-high 13 rebounds to go with 12 points as he recorded his third double-double of the season.
Jacob Cook was the third member of Concordia to score at least 10 points in the game. He was 8-for-13 from the floor and had 16 points. It's his eighth straight game this season where he has scored in double figures.
Concordia held a 48-39 edge in rebounds and a 30-22 advantage in points in the paint.
The Cobbers finished the game by shooting 38.5% (25-for-65) from the field and 29.2% (7-for-24) from outside the arc. CC only made 47.6% (10-for-21) of their attempts from the free throw line.
Luther connected on 34.4% (21-for-61) of their chances from the field, 33.3% (9-for-27) from 3-point range and 78.6% (11-for-14) of their shots from the foul stripe.
