Cook's Career-High Point Total Leads To Tap-To-Buzzer Win

MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/15/25)--- Jacob Cook dropped a career-high 32 points on Wis.-River Falls in Concordia's 78-64 tap-to-buzzer win over the Falcons.
River Falls had no answer for the senior post player, who went 12-for-18 from the floor, 3-for-5 from outside the arc and finished with his career-high point total in 33 minutes of play.
Concordia (2-0) scored the first four points in the game, bolted to a 10-2 lead and took a double-digit lead at the 7:12 mark of the first half of play.
River Falls (1-3) was able to cut the lead to a single point with 5:39 left in the half, but a 13-1 run to end the half gave the Cobbers a 38-25 lead at the break.
Concordia duplicated their fast start in the first half by scoring the opening seven points of the second frame. The Falcons were never able to make a big run at CC and the Cobbers held a double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest.
The Cobbers led for 39:39 pf the 40:00 of play as they won for the second straight game this season.
Concordia held a 40-33 advantage in rebounds and an 32-26 edge in points in the paint.
The Cobbers finished the game by shooting 48.2% (27-for-56) from the field and 40.9% (9-for-22) from distance. River Falls connected on 42.1% (24-for-57) of their attempts from the floor and 30.0% (6-for-20) of their chances from 3-point range.
CC also went to the free throw line 27 times as opposed to 16 for UWRF. The Cobbers made 15 of those attempts, while the Falcons went 10-for-16.
Concordia had two other players with more than 12 points in the game. First-year guard Payton Schell backed up his 16-point performance on opening night with a 15-point game on Saturday. He went 5-for-9 from the field and 2-for-4 from outside the arc.
Jackson Loge posted a team-high nine rebounds to go along with his 13 points., while Peyton Belka chipped in eight points, 6 assists and five rebounds.
Concordia will hit the road for six games on the annual Christmas Concert road trip. CC will play at Crown on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. The Polars are 2-1 on the year.
