Trio Of Award Winners Pace Cobbers At MIAC Championship Meet
The Concordia-Moorhead women’s cross country team delivered one of its strongest performances of the season, placing fifth overall at the MIAC Championship. Ashley Nelson, Brooklyn Hart, and Kelyn Henry-Perlich each earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors, highlighting a standout day for the Cobbers.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (11/1/25) — Concordia turned in a strong, balanced performance at the 2025 MIAC Championship, placing fifth overall with 129 points at the Highland 9-Hole Golf Course on Saturday.
The fifth-place finish is the highest at a conference meet for the Cobbers since 2019.
Junior Ashley Nelson led the Cobbers with a 17th-place finish, clocking 22:59.9 on the 6K course. She was joined in the top 20 by Brooklyn Hart, who finished 19th in 23:04.0, while Kelyn Henry-Perlich used a huge finishing kick to place 25th with a time of 23:13.6. All three earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors for their performances with Henry-Perlich claiming the last Honorable Mention honor.
Londyn Ames (30th, 23:26.3) and Lilly Dickinson (45th, 23:53.6) rounded out Concordia's scoring five, helping the Cobbers maintain a tight front pack that provided a consistent scoring edge. The top seven runners combined for a total time of 2:45:39, averaging 23:39 per runner with just a 1:45 spread, showcasing the team's depth and cohesion.
Addie Dahl (64th), Mallory DeVries (74th), and Ashlyn Dibble (98th) contributed strong efforts, while Aftyn Hahn (103rd), Alayna Neu (104th), Emery Holland (121st), Abbi Lemelin (127th), Faith Krawiecki (139th), Ava Chevalier (146th), Taelor Dummer (159th), Hallie Fritel (163rd), and Madi Ziemer (166th) rounded out Concordia's deep championship meet roster.
The Cobbers' fifth-place finish put them just behind Macalester (120 points) and Gustavus Adolphus (116 points), and ahead of St. Scholastica (139 points) and Bethel (167 points). The result underscores Concordia's growing strength and balance across the lineup as the team turns its focus toward the St. Benedict Fall Finale on Nov. 7.
