MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/19/26)---Concordia head coach Marv Roeske followed up his MIAC Coach of the Year award by being named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) North Region Coach of the Year.
Roeske earns the Region Indoor Coach of the Year honors for the second time in his career and it is the third overall Region Coach of the Year award. He was named the USTFCCA Central Region Outdoor Coach of the Year in 2004 and received Indoor Region Coach of the Year honors in 1998.
Roeske led Concordia to its first MIAC Indoor Championship since 1999 at the recently-completed conference meet. The Cobbers used their team strength to capture the title as they only had three event wins during the two days but used many Top 5 finishes to claim the team title.
In addition to the team championship, Roeske guided athletes to six different individual All-Conference honors and three relays which all finished or second at the MIAC Meet. The Cobbers also had 11 All-Conference Honorable Mention award winners for finishing in fourth through sixth place.
Roeske also had Kyla Nygaard and the 4x400-meter relay team receive USTFCCCA All-Region honors as well as Nygaard, Lauren Pearson and the relay crew qualifying for the NCAA National Indoor Championship Meet.
