SUPERIOR, Wis. (2/14/26) — The Concordia women's tennis team showed competitive stretches throughout the lineup but came up short in a 7–0 loss, dropping all singles and doubles matches despite several tight sets and strong individual moments.
In singles play, the Cobbers pushed their opponents across multiple courts, highlighted by a hard‑fought effort from Annalise Skrade at No. 5 singles. Skrade forced a first‑set tiebreak before ultimately falling 7–6, 6–4 in one of the closest matches of the day. At the top of the lineup, Tanis Lee mounted a late surge in the second set but came up short in a 6–2, 7–5 loss at No. 1 singles. Olivia Walter also battled at No. 6, staying within striking distance before dropping a 6–4, 6–2 result. The remaining singles courts closed in straight sets as Concordia faced a strong opponent top to bottom.
Doubles play saw the Cobbers generate momentum, particularly at the No. 2 position, where Shireen Durrani and Alyssa Sommerfeld stayed aggressive throughout before taking a close 7–5 loss. At No. 3 doubles, Ava Lowman and Skrade kept their match tight but fell 6–4, while the No. 1 pairing of Lee and Erin Borchard dropped a 6–3 decision.
The Cobbers return to action tomorrow, February 15th, at 8:00 a.m.
