Enedy Energizes Cobbers On Day 3 At MIAC Meet
Sophomore Leah Enedy led Concordia on Day 3 at the MIAC Championship Meet as she swam a seaosn-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke and narrowly missed qualifying for the "B" final.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (2/13/26)---Sophomore Leah Enedy led Concordia on Day 3 at the MIAC Championship Meet.
Enedy posted the best individual performance by a Cobber swimmer at the meet when she placed 18th in the 100-yard breaststroke. Enedy narrowly missed the "B" final with her finishing time of 1:11.44. That mark was only .68 of a second away from getting to swim in the night session.
Enedy's time in the 100-yard breaststroke was a season-best mark by almost a full 6-seconds.
Enedy also helped the Concordia 200-yard freestyle record a season-best time in the final event on Friday. Enedy teamed with Tinsley Porter, Christina Moore and Vylet Frank to post a time of 1:48.68. That time bested their previous season-best mark of 1:54.32.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team finished eighth in the event which gave the Cobbers 22 team points. Concordia remains in eighth place in the team standings entering the final day of competition. They are only eight points out of seventh place.
Moore also posted a Top 20 individual finish when she swam a career-best time of 1:08.24 in the 100-yard backstroke and placed 20th.
Teammate Rosie Tran was 24th in the same event with a season-best mark of 1:13.44.
Frank carried on the team-wide theme of season-best times when she touched the wall in 2:20.89 in the 200-yard freestyle. That time was almost 4-seconds faster than her previous season best.
Concordia will finish off the MIAC Meet on Saturday, Feb. 14 when they swim in the prelims and 10:30 a.m. and the finals at 6:30 p.m.
