Experience Leads The Way In Season Opener
Concordia finished in fifth place at the season-opening St. Catherine Pentathlon Meet. The Cobbers had three of their non-first year swimmers compete in all five events in a meet that is patterned after a tack & field multi-event competition.

The Cobbers had three of their non-first year swimmers compete in all five events in a meet that is patterned after a tack & field multi-event competition.
Leah Enedy, Christina Moore and Tinsley Porter all posted quality times with Enedy leading the team in scoring for the event.
Enedy finished the five events with 272.50 points which earned her a spot in the Top 30 of the 82 athletes competing in the meet.
Enedy's top point-scoring event came in the 100-yard breaststroke where she finished 19th with a time of 1:17.94. That mark scored her 66 points. Enedy also posted a Top 25 finish in the 100-yard individual medley. She touched the wall in 1:08.77 which was good for 24th place and 61 points.
Moore and Porter came through with times that were ahead of their marks at the same last year.
Moore scored 41 points in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.29. She posted a mark of 1:15.10 at the meet last season. Moore also scored over 25 points in the 100-yard breaststroke where she trimmed 2.70 seconds off of last years' time with a 1:30.15.
Porter's top-scoring event was the 100-yard breaststroke. She clocked a 1:29.14 and received 29 points. Her time on Saturday was 2.32 faster than last year's mark. Porter also cut time in the 100-yard freestyle where she scored 28 points with a mark of 1:04.99.
First-year swimmers Rosie Tran and Vylet Frank both competed in their first collegiate meet, and both came away with lifetime bests in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle.
Concordia will be back on the road next weekend when they compete in the St. Benedict Triangular on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 11:30 a.m.
