Cobbers Define Steamroll In Win Over Jamestown
Merriam- Webster’s Dictionary defines the term “steamroll” as to overwhelm usually by greatly superior force. The Cobbers used their superior force to steamroll their way to nine unanswered individual match wins and overwhelmed Jamestown 47-5.

The victory is the ninth straight over the Jimmies and moves Concordia's dual-meet record to 4-4 on the season. CC has won two straight duals and four of its last six.
In the end, Concordia posted six 6-point wins on the night. The Cobbers got pins from Kie Anderson, Ty Bisek, Elijah Hunt and Sam Dioszeghy and picked up forfeit wins at 149 and 157 to secure the 42-point win.
The lone loss of the night came in the opening match of the dual at 125. It was all maroon and gold from that point forward.
Anderson erased the deficit with a pin at the 4:29 mark of his bout at 133. Anderson was up 12-0 before he got his opponent's shoulders on the mat in the second period.
Anderson's pin started a streak of five straight 6-point wins for CC. No.7-ranked Bisek followed Anderson with a pin at 1:29 of his match at 141. Biske is now 19-1 on the year and has seven pins.
Jack Major and Alex McPhee claimed forfeit wins at 149 and 157. For McPhee, it was his team-leading 20th win of the year.
Hunt capped the 6-point streak with a pin at 165 which gave Concordia a commanding 30-5 lead in the team match. Hunt earned the quickest pin of the night when he posted a takedown in the first minute and then turned his opponent to grab the pin at 1:05. Hunt is now 15-7 for the season.
Zach Pribyl nearly made it six straight 6-point specials. He fell one point shy in his match at 174. Pribyl dominated his opponent, posted two 4-point near falls in the first period and finished off a 15-0 tech fall only 49 seconds into the second period.
The win was Pribyl's 19th of the year and he is now unbeaten in his last five matches.
Brody Duke and Will Freking brought the team score to 41-5 with decision victories at 184 and 197. Duke used a reversal and a takedown in the third period to claim a 5-2 win at 184. The bout was tied at 2-2 in the final half of the third period when Duke scored the match-winning takedown. He has won six straight matches and has 11 wins in his rookie season.
Freking posted a takedown in the first period and never trailed in his match at 197 in posting a 7-2 win. He also had an escape to start the third period and finished it off with a takedown with a takedown toward the end of the bout. Freking is 15-10 for the season and is 5-1 in his last six matches.
Dioszeghy put the scoop of ice cream on the cake when he closed out the match with a pin at 1:40 in his bout at 285. He actually trailed 3-1 before getting a reversal and then the pin. Dioszeghy is now 14-7 with nine pins.
Concordia will finish off the dual meet position of its schedule by traveling to Minneapolis to face No.1-ranked Augsburg on Saturday, Feb.15 at 4 p.m.
