Metcalf Earns Second MIAC Offensive Player Of The Week Honors
Concordia sophomore Maya Metcalf (West Fargo, N.D./West Fargo Sheyenne HS) was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 24.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in the Cobbers’ two wins last week.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/16/26)---Concordia sophomore Maya Metcalf (West Fargo, N.D./West Fargo Sheyenne HS) was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 24.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in the Cobbers' two wins last week.
The award is the third of the season for Metcalf, who earned her first MIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Dec. 15 and was named the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 24.
Metcalf's spotlight performance of the week came on Wednesday when she became only the 10th player in program history to score at least 30 points in a single game.
Metcalf was 10-for-16 from the field and 4-for-5 from 3-point range in her 32-point game in Concordia's win over St. Catherine. Metcalf also had nine rebounds, five blocks and four assists against the Wildcats.
Metcalf followed that up with a 17-point, 7-rebound game in only 19 minutes on Saturday in a victory over Macalester.
Metcalf is currently second in rebounding (8.8 rpg), second in blocked shots (30) and third in scoring (17.5 ppg) in the MIAC in conference games.
