Metcalf Named To D3hoops.com National Team Of The Week
Concordia sophomore forward Maya Metcalf (West Fargo, N.D./West Fargo Sheyenne HS) was named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week. The award comes on the heels of Metcalf claiming MIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/16/25)---Concordia sophomore forward Maya Metcalf (West Fargo, N.D./West Fargo Sheyenne HS) was named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week.
The award comes on the heels of Metcalf claiming MIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Metcalf becomes the fourth player in program history to receive National Team of the Week honors and first since Makayla Anderson earned the award on Jan. 14 of last season.
Metcalf's award-winning week came from her career game against St. Olaf last week. She scored a career-high 24 points in the Cobbers' 80-54 win over the Oles last Wednesday. Metcalf went 8-for-11 from the field, 3-for-4 from outside the arc and 5-for-6 from the free throw line as she scored her 24 points in 27 minutes of play.
In addition to her career-high point total, Metcalf also posted a career-high block number (3) and had three assists and one steal.
Metcalf is currently ranked fifth in rebounding and 13th in scoring in the MIAC this season.
