Cobbers Close Season at NCAA North Region Meet; Goss Leads the Pack
The Concordia men’s cross country team capped its 2025 campaign with a strong showing against elite regional competition, placing 23rd at the NCAA Division III North Region Championships on Saturday in Colfax, Wis.
COLFAX, Wis. – Concordia wrapped up its 2025 cross country season with a 23rd-place team finish at the NCAA Division III North Region Championships on Saturday at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis. The Cobbers totaled 661 points and posted a tight scoring spread of 2:39 among the top five runners.
Junior Tyler Goss paced Concordia with a 62nd-place finish, clocking 26:12.5 on the 8K course. Goss opened with a 4:58 first split and stayed consistent throughout to deliver his best regional finish.
Carter Ferber was the Cobbers' second runner across the line, taking 132nd in 27:50.8 after a strong finish in the late stages of the race. Stetson Gisselbeck placed 152nd with a time of 28:23.2, followed closely by Brady Andrews in 28:28.4 for 158th.
Gavin Carl rounded out the scoring five, running 28:52.0 to finish 165th. Concordia's top seven was completed by Evan Grover (171st, 29:21.6) and Weston Mahar (177th, 30:02.2).
The Cobbers' top five posted a combined time of 2:19:46 (27:57 average), while the full top seven finished in 3:19:10.
The North Region field featured 31 teams, making it one of the most competitive championship meets in Division III. Saturday's race marked the end of the season for the Concordia squad.
