The match featured four singles bouts being decided in the super-set tiebreaker with the Cobbers coming out on the short end of those match-deciding bouts.
The Cobbers' lone point came from No. 1 singles, where Ryoga Yano delivered a strong comeback performance. After dropping the opening set, Yano surged through the second and then controlled the match tiebreak to earn a 4–6, 6–0, 1–0 (10–4) victory.
Concordia nearly added to its total with a trio of matches that also went the distance.
Kai Pierce forced the tiebreaker at No. 4 singles after a dominant second set, while Kai Kringlie and Ryan Bitz each pushed their matches to super sets
In doubles, the Cobbers grabbed momentum at the No. 2 spot, where Kringlie and Logan Sandberg produced a 6–3 win to split the early results. Yano and Isaac Maddock challenged at No. 1 before falling 6–3, and the Falcons edged out the No. 3 match 6–4 to take the doubles point.
