Concordia Drops Road Match to Gustavus
Concordia College Moorhead fell 7-0 to Gustavus Adolphus College in MIAC men’s tennis action on Saturday afternoon.
ST. PETER, Minn. (3/15/26) – Concordia College Moorhead fell 7-0 to Gustavus Adolphus College in MIAC men's tennis action on Saturday afternoon.
Gustavus secured the opening point by sweeping all three doubles matches. At No. 1 doubles, Kai Pierce and Ryoga Yano fell 6-0 to the Gusties' pair, while Kai Kringlie and Logan Sandberg dropped a 6-2 decision at the No. 2 position. Carson Anderson and Niklas Cook rounded out doubles play with a 6-1 result at No. 3.
The Gusties continued their momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets to complete the 7-0 team victory.
At the top of the lineup, Ryoga Yano competed at No. 1 singles before falling 6-2, 6-1. Logan Sandberg dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision at No. 2, while Kai Pierce fell 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot.
Kai Kringlie battled at No. 4 singles before falling 6-0, 6-1. Ryan Bitz competed at No. 5 and Carson Anderson rounded out the lineup at No. 6 singles as the Gusties secured the sweep.
The Cobbers will look to bounce back in their next MIAC matchup.
