Cobber Finish Off Fall Season
Concordia lost 5-2 to St. Olaf in its last match of the fall portion of its schedule. The Cobbers lost two of the three doubles matches to drop the single team point in doubles play and then claimed two of the six singles matches as they lost for the second straight conference match.

The Cobbers lost two of the three doubles matches to drop the single team point in doubles play and then claimed two of the six singles matches as they lost for the second straight conference match.
CC finishes off the fall season with a 2-3 overall record and an 0-2 mark in MIAC play. St. Olaf moves to 1-1 in all matches and 1-0 in league play.
The lone win in doubles came from the No.3 doubles tandem of Kai Pierce and Hunter Rice, who recorded a 6-2 win. The victory was the duo's second straight of the fall season.
Pierce used the momentum from the doubles win to produce a straight-set, 6-2, 6-4 victory at No.4 singles. The singles win was his third of the fall which is tied for the team lead. It was also his 27th career singles victory as a Cobber.
The other team point came at No.2 singles, where junior Isaac Maddock won in the super-set tie-breaker. Maddock lost the first set 6-2 but then rallied to earn a 6-3 win in the second set. He then rolled to a 10-6 margin in the tie-breaker.
The victory tied Pierce for the most singles wins in the fall season and gives him 17 for his college career.
Concordia will now take a 4-month break before returning to action for their spring season.
