Triggs OT Heroics Lift Cobbers Past Hamline, 4–3

The Cobbers struck first in the opening period on a power-play goal from Tucker Skime, assisted by the Triggs brothers, giving Concordia an early 1–0 lead heading into the second period.
Hamline responded in the second period with a quick goal from Landon Steffen, tying the game 1–1. Less than a minute later, Ryan Roethke answered for Concordia, putting the Cobbers back up 2–1. At 8:37, Tyler Jordan scored for the Pipers, leveling the game at 2–2.
In the third period, Joe Harguindeguy put the Cobbers ahead at 8:41 with a clean even-strength goal, assisted by Jackson Lucia. Hamline's Dom Thomas evened the score again with a power-play goal at 10:44, forcing overtime.
In the extra frame, Concordia maintained aggressive pressure. At 4:41, Caden Triggs struck for the Cobbers with an even-strength, sudden-death game-winning goal, assisted by Harguindeguy. Harguindeguy finished the game with one goal and two assists, while Triggs recorded one goal and one assist. Dane Couture made 32 saves in net.
With the win, the Cobbers improved to 11–8–2 overall and 6–5–1 in MIAC play, earning their third victory over the Hamline Pipers this week. Concordia returns to action on February 13 for a 7:00 p.m. home game against Bethel.
