The teams traded goals in the first period before Concordia opened the game up with a pair of goals in the middle stanza and then two more in the final frame.
Senior captain Ben Luedtke netted his first goal of the season to get the CC scoring sheet started. His strike at 3:46 of the opening period tied the game at 1-1 after Marian scored 60 seconds into the second game of the series.
Jack Hanson and Will Hofer had the helpers on the opener. For Hanson it would be the first of his two assists in the game.
Tucker Skime put CC out in front with a power play goal at the 5:25 of the second period and then Ian Ness gave Concordia a 3-1 lead with 3:09 left before the second intermission.
Luedtke and Joe Harguindeguy set up Skime's second goal of the year with Skime and Hanson setting the stage for Ness' first collegiate goal.
Marian (3-8-2) got to within one goal in the 14th minute of the third period before the Cobbers slammed the door shut with tallies from Carson Triggs and Ryan Roethke.
Triggs netted an even-strength goal at 14:36 with assists to his brother Caden Triggs and Talan Plante, while Roethke slid home an empty-net strike at 18:41.
Skime had one of the assists on Roethke's second goal of the year to finish with the first 3-point game of his career.
Concordia outshot the Sabres 30-27 in the game and 62-49 for the series.
Junior goalie Dane Couture made 25 saves to record his second win of the year.
The power play goal by Skime gave CC a power play in each game in Wisconsin and the Cobbers have now scored seven PP goals on the year.
Concordia will continue their string of games against Scony opponents when they host Wis.-Superior and Wis.-Stout on Jan. 9-10 at the Moorhead Sports Center.
