Dickstein Named MIAC Defensive Player Of The Week
Concordia junior goalie Aaron Dickstein was named the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week for his 24-save performance in the Cobbers’ 2-1 win over Hamline on Saturday.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/05/22)---Concordia junior goalie Aaron Dickstein (Dayton, Ohio/Miami Valley HS) was named the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week for his 24-save performance in the Cobbers' 2-1 win over Hamline on Saturday.
Dickstein becomes the first Cobber player to earn the conference weekly award this season. He also becomes the first Concordia player to win MIAC Player of the Week honors since Isaac Henkemeyer-Howe received the award on Jan. 31 of last season.
Dickstein stopped the first 24 shots he faced, and only lost his shutout bid in the final 13-seconds of the game.
Dickstein also helped the Cobber defense hold the Pipers scoreless in their six power play attempts. The most critical penalty kill for Concordia came in the first period when Hamline had a 5-on-3 man advantage for almost a full minute.
Dickstein is now 2-1-0 on the season and has a 3.67 goals against average with an 87.2% save percentage.
