Cook Earns Second D3hoops.com National Team Of The Week Honor
Senior Jacob Cook (Ashby, Minn.) followed up his MIAC Defensive Player of the Week honor by being named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week. It is the second time in his career that he has earned the national award.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/18/25)---Senior Jacob Cook (Ashby, Minn.) followed up his MIAC Defensive Player of the Week honor by being named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week.
Cook was one of only five players selected in all of Division III for the national award.
The D3hoops.com National Team of the Week honor is the second in as many years for Cook, who was named to the Team of the Week on Jan. 14 of last season.
Cook is only the second Cobber player to earn the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week honor and he becomes the first player in program history to receive the award on more than one occasion.
Cook claimed his second National Team of the Week honor after averaging 27.0 points and shooting 61.3% from the field in Concordia's wins over Minn.-Morris and Wis.-River Falls. He also averaged 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and shot 60.0% from 3-point range in the two wins.
Cook put up 22 points in the 79-74 season-opening win over Morris and then dropped a career-high 32 points against River Falls.
Cokk now has 844 points and 465 rebounds in his 3-plus year career in maroon and gold. His rebound total is currently sixth on the school's all-time rebounding list.
