MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/17/25)---Concordia sophomore running back Mason Hughes (Glendale, Ariz./Pinnacle HS) was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week after his standout rushing performance in the Cobbers' season-ending win at Carleton.
It is the first time in his career that he has earned the conference weekly honor and he becomes the fourth Concordia player to receive the Player of the Week award.
Hughes came up with the second-highest, single-game rushing total in the modern history of Cobber football on Saturday. He ran the ball 26 times and gained 230 yards. Hughes was also responsible for two of the team's four scores in the 31-24 victory.

Hughes' huge game allowed him to win the rushing title in the MIACX this season. He finished the year with 951 rushing yards in all 10 games and 833 yards in the nine conference contests.
