Horan Named To D3baseball.com Team Of The Week
Concordia shortstop Thomas Horan (Moorhead, Minn.) was named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week after leading the Cobbers to a sweep over Augsburg last weekend.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/08/24)---Concordia shortstop Thomas Horan (Moorhead, Minn.) was named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week after leading the Cobbers to a sweep over Augsburg last weekend.
Horan earned the national award for the first time in his career and follows teammate David Dorsey on being placed on the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week award after Dorsey earned the honor last week.

Horan led Concordia to a 12-3, 13-6 sweep at Augsburg on Saturday by going 7-for-9 in the two games with five RBI and three runs scored. He also had the game-winning hit in the second game after the Cobbers trailed 6-5 heading into the ninth inning.
Horan finished the season by recording multiple-hit games against St. Mary's in the season finale on Monday. He went 11-for-16 in the final four games of the year and finished second on the team in hitting with a 333 average.
Horan also recorded a pair of milestones over the past week. Against Augsburg, he posted his 100th career RBI and against the Cardinals, he passed former head coach Chris Coste for second place on the school's all-time hit list.
Horan has 166 hits and 104 RBI in his career at Concordia. He is one of only three players in program history to have 100 hits and 100 RBI.
